I co-founded GuideSmiths and co-run it globally. In March 2021 I and my co-founder, Glenn O’Grady, sold GuideSmiths to DCSL Software for the sum of £12.3m, creating DCSL GuideSmiths. DCSL GuideSmiths now employs over 250 software specialists across six countries with a combined turnover of £20m. The DCSL GuideSmiths team can offer clients expert knowledge in large scale digital transformation projects, team augmentation, delivery of discrete Agile projects and creating world class bespoke software.

I co-founded and launched GuideSmiths Spain in 2016. GuideSmiths is a full stack software development company specialising in microservices and I have extensive experience heading up large-scale cloud migrations, CI/CD platforms and microservices builds for clients including the MailOnline (world’s most visited news website), Utility Warehouse, TES Global (world’s largest education website), Marsh, Telefonica and Masmovil. We managed to escale a business from 0 to 8M£ and from 0 to 120 billable seats.

After completion of my Software Engineering degree I spent the next few years building up an international career in Madrid, NYC, Sydney and London working in different software projects as Engineer, Team Lead and Architect. Most of these related to high-escalable, complex and performant web and mobile systems. Some of the companies I worked for includes Telefonica, British Gas, tes.com and Daily Mail.
